He was predeceased by: his mother Hazel Irene Payne; and his brother Darrell Ballew. He is survived by: his father Billy J. Ballew of Talking Rock, GA; his brothers, Tracy (Gracie Ballew) and Warren R. Ballew of Ellijay, GA; and his siblings' children, Robert Avilez, Tyler Ballew, Brittani Ballew, Noah Ballew, Kevin and Samantha Green of Ellijay, GA..
