It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Marie Simpson of Ellijay, Georgia, who passed away on August 1, 2021, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, George Maxson and Irene Mount Maxson. She is survived by: her husband Paul Simpson Sr.; her children, Paul Simpson Jr., Jonathan Simpson (Traci), Matthew Simpson (Zashia) and Christine Head (David); her sisters, Sandy Myers and Mary Orth; her grandchildren, Emily, Catherine Hicks, Philemon John Scheffold, Nicalia Matthews, Olivia, Jonathan Jr., Malachi Simpson, Trinity Head and Ariela Simpson; and her great grandchildren, Jackson, Amarylis, Graydon, Wylder and Everly Hicks.
Flowers will be accepted, or donations can be made to St. Jude's Children Hospital or The Covenant House.
