He was predeceased by: his parents, James Posey Shackelford and Irene Smith (Younts); his stepfather E. W. Smith; and his siblings, Carlene Robbins (Shackelford) and James Shackelford (Jimmy).
He is survived by: his son Donovan Shackelford (Kimberly); his grandchildren, Molly Shackelford and Matthew Shackelford; his sweetheart Jean Smith; his brother Jerry Smith; and his niece Rhonda Auman. He is also survived by his loving family and friends.
