He is survived by: his children, Pete Patterson (Donna) of Ellijay, James Patterson (Julie) of Blue Ridge, Ricky Patterson of Ellijay, Billy Joe Patterson of Ellijay, Randy Patterson of Ellijay, John Patterson of Ellijay, Eric Patterson (Becky) of Ellijay, Patricia Scoggins of Fairmount, Barbara Vick (Stanley) of Ellijay, Teresa Bonds (Ray) of Horeton Ala and Melissa Pittman (Donald) of Mineral Bluff; and his half-siblings, David, Danny, Paul Patterson, Corrine Parris and Laura Jane McClure. He is also survived by thirty-five grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
