She was predeceased by: her parents, Gordon Cowart and Betty Cowart; and her sisters, Mary Robinson and Gertrude Hornsby. She is survived by: her husband Gerald Barefield; her children, Trey Simons (Megan), Eli Barefield, Elizabeth Todd (Michael), Robin Barefield Ellison (Chris), Haley Barefield and Brian Barefield (Jonica); her grandchildren, Cameron Simons, Caleb Simons, Wyatt Simons, Lillian Simons, Joel Kem, Carson Todd, Alexis Barefield, Abel Brown and Zachary Brown; and her siblings, Donald Harrison (Emily), Betty Mahn and Donna Williams (Larry). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
