She was predeceased by: her parents, W. T. Curry and Leona Adcock Curry; her husband John D. Chavous; her grandson Jerry Townson; and her siblings, Billy Curry and Gladys Poirier.
She is survived by: her children, Cindy Townson (Jimmy) of Appling, Debra Proctor of Grovetown, Dan Chavous (Becky) of Aiken and Terri Vann (Tommy) of Augusta; her grandchildren, Melissa Townson, Brian Thigpen, Julie Williams, Rachel Burdette, Daniel Chavous, Karissa Rodriguez, Justin Vann and Susan McBride; her sisters, Martha Barth of Texas, Laura Timmins of Texas, Melinda Harris, Shae Dyars and Hillary Sanders; and her grandsons, Jacob Poole, Joshua Poole, Jarrett Poole and Trey Powell. She is also survived by 22 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild.
