With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Gerald Wayne Preast of Fayetteville, Georgia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 25, 2025 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Gerald Wayne leaves behind and his impact on the lives of his loved ones. Though Gerald Wayne may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the memories held dear by his family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
He was predeceased by: his father Christian; and his son Glenn Preast. He is survived by: his wife Betty Preast; his daughter Dana Eisfelder (Brian); and his sister Carolyn Woods (Stanley).
Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Flat Creek Baptist Church (161 Flat Creek Trail, Fayetteville, GA 30214). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Samaritan's Purse, Fayette Pregnancy Resource Center, or Gideons International in honor of Wayne's generous spirit and enduring faith.
