She was predeceased by: her mother Lucy Howell Taunton; and her stepfather Earl Taunton of Thomaston, GA.. She is survived by: her siblings, Gene Blakely (Joann), Jerry Blakely, Sybil Blakely Bennett and Elaine Taunton; her husband N. Douglas Brown of Buford, GA.; her children, Lisa Brown (Stacy) of Peachtree City, Kimberley Brown of Buford, GA and Douglas Brown (Leslie) of Jonesborough, TN.; her grandchildren, Macie Carlson (Logan) of Lincolnton, NC, Gavin Dietz of Charlotte, NC and John Ashley Goff (Kendra) of Franklin, GA.; and her great grandchildren, Olenna Carlson, Michael, Chloe and Kensley Goff. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the NorthStar Family Church (3622 Atlanta Hwy, Flowery Branch, GA 30542). A memorial service was held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
