She was predeceased by: her parents, Charlie Scott and Lucrecia Elizabeth Mitchell Scott; her husband Buford Lewis Carlan; her stepmother Nellie Burgess Scott; her sisters, Inez Hulsey, Lena Mae Grizzle and Genell Allison; and her grandsons, Johnny Stevens, Timothy Stevens, Terry Stevens and Tony Stevens.
She is survived by: her sister Peggy Tisdale of Cleveland; her son Jackie Mitchell; her daughter-in-law Geneva Stevens of Murrayville; her son Teddy Lee; her daughter-in-law Angie Stevens of Flowery Branch; her son Donald Buford; her daughter-in-law Marguerite Carlan of Flowery Branch; her daughter Carolyn; and her son-in-law Freddie Joe Sullins of Flowery Branch. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren, and 3 great great-grandchildren.
Due to Covid-19, the family requests that everyone attending the visitation and service wear a mask and adhere to social distancing guidelines.
