She was predeceased by : her parents, Ernest Hortman and Jewel Cotney Hortman; her husbands, J. C. Smith and Aubrey Wilder; and her son James Stanley Smith.

She is survived by : her daughter Terry S. Corbett of Fort Valley; and her grandchildren, Corbett (Erin) of Macon and Lisa Storm (Guy) of Perry. She is also survived by four great-grandchildren.
