He was predeceased by : his parents, Odessa Lancaster Brazeal and John C. Brazeal; his stepmother Evie Brazeal; and his siblings, Gladys Bell, Grace Dean, Gene Adcock, Jacqueline Brazeal, Bill Brazeal, Glen Brazeal, Colbert Brazeal and Alvin Brazeal.

He is survived by : his wife Joan Brazeal of Franklin; his son John D. Brazeal (Janet) of Franklin; and his grandchildren, Jason Brazeal, Joshua Brazeal, Bobbie Katen (Chris), Todd Huey (Ashley), Chelsea Butler (Dillon) and Taylor Brazeal. He is also survived by ten great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives and friends.
