He was predeceased by: his wife Martha Brown Sargent; his parents, William Taft Sargent Sr. and Lucille Sargent; and his brother William Taft Sargent Jr.. He is survived by: his daughter Treva Sargent Boswell; his granddaughters, Ashleigh Boswell and Madison Boswell; his siblings, Linda (Dwight Woodall), Kathy (Dexter Stanley) and Danny; his sister-in-law Carol Sargent; and his brother Paul Sargent. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
