He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie B. Wells and Adel Sammons Wells; his siblings, James Wells, John Willie Wells, George Wells, Katie Overstreet, Mary Kitchens and Florrie Arrington; and his stepsister Doris Marsh.
He is survived by: his sister Rendia Kent of Gibson. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, and his extended family.
