Lorene Markins Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lorene Markins of Gibson, Georgia, who passed away on December 15, 2020 at the age of 98. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by : her parents, John Henry McNeal and Eva Mary McNeal; her former life partner Lamar Markins; her children, James Lamar Markins, Janice Elizabeth Spivey, Contance Tanner Messerly and Barbara Jean Jones; her sister Vera McNeal Adams; her grandsons, Allen Tanner and John L. Usry; and her children-in-law, Bo Johns and Dot Markins.
She is survived by : her children, Otto Markins (Jean) of Valdosta, Alice Adams (James) of Chatsworth and Debra Gagner (Timothy) of Grovetown; her daughter-in-law Carol Markins of Gibson; and her grandchildren, Earl Humphries, Tracy Poole, Travis Markins, Tina Dedman, Donna Vanns, Tammy Tanner, Derek Tanner, Bo Tanner, Mary Gates, Angela Green, Mike Johns, Sandra Webb, Jason Markins, Lesley of Washington, Timothy Gagner and James Gagner. She is also survived by 28 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
Due to the Covid-19 situation there will be a private home going service to celebrate the life of Ms. Lorene Markins for the family only at Taylor Funeral Home on Thursday at 2:00 PM with Rev. Tommy Harwell officiating.
In honor and memory, the family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made in memory of Ms. Lorene Markins to the Fellowship Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.
