He was loved and cherished by many people including: his father Luther D. Funderburg, Sr.; his wife Betty Funderburg; his stepdaughter Elizabeth Diperna; his grandchildren, Chris Burkhart, Dwayne Huff, Aimee Burkhart, Jeremy Huff and Joshua Huff; his great grandchildren, Brandon, Samantha, Hayden, Eva, Jordon, Colin, Kaden, Kaleb, Tyler, Addison, Laynie, Aiden, Brennan and Cameron; his stepdaughter Debbie Burkhart; and his grandson Steven Burkhart.
