It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Matthew Alexander Cahill of Gillsville, Georgia, who passed away on September 12, 2023, at the age of 61, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Francis Alexander and Betty Whitmire Cahill; and his brother Lonnie Smith. He is survived by : his wife Lena Whitfield Cahill of Gillsville, GA; his children, Frank (Katie Cahill), Melanie Cahill of Jacksonville, FL, Angel (Max Lipchinsky) of Gillsville, GA and Phillip Blackburn of Gillsville, GA; his sisters, Desiree Cahill Wolfe (John Wolfe) and Jackie Cahill Gillett of Catawba, NC; and his grandchildren, Travis, Lane, Sean and Belle. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, & friends.
