He was predeceased by: his parent Loyd Brinson; his brother Charles L.; and his grandson Brandon Brinson Weaver. He is survived by: his parent Marie Jenkins Brinson; his wife Wanda Tarpley Brinson-Gordon; his children, Shannon Brinson-Gordon and Holly Gay-Macon (Jim); his sister Mary Nell Evans; his brothers-in-law, Jim Tarpley (Sharon) and Danny Tarpley-Gordon; his granddaughter Sarah Elizabeth Weaver; Bryan Weaver (Meredith) and Robert Cail Brinson, II (Taylor).
