He was predeceased by: his parents, John Carlton Thompson and Gladys Raines Thompson; his wife Joyce Huff Thompson; and his brothers, Charles Thompson and Tommy Thompson.
He is survived by: his sons, Bill Thompson (Leigh) of Gray, Lee Thompson (Dottie) of Gray and Craig Thompson (Kimberly) of Gray; his grandchildren, Tyler Thompson of Gray, Matt Thompson of Gray, Jake Thompson of Gray, Jessica Thompson Cobo (Justin) of Gray, Jace Thompson of Gray and Jaid Thompson of Gray; and his siblings, Jerry Thompson of Crawford, Georgia and Darlene Pinson of Winterville.
