He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl John and Thelma Kitchens Peebles; his brother Carlton John Peebles; and his brothers-in-law, Don Smith and Howard Youmans.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Smith Peebles; his children, Becky Darley of Gray and Jeff Peebles of Macon; his sister Patsy Youmans of Swainsboro; his grandchildren, T. J. Darley (Nikki), Erin Darley, Sloan May (Ryan), Jennifer Peebles and Patrick Peebles; his great grandchildren, Emma, Garrett, Owen, Austin, Ryleigh, Millie and Luke; his siblings-in-law, Barnell Barrentine, Peggy Smith, Peggy Peebles and Glenn Smith (Pamela); and also Laura Wilson.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Greenwood Baptist Church, 3400 Gray Hwy, Gray, GA 31032.
