She was predeceased by: her parents, Felix Mulkey and Emmie Ray Brown Mulkey; her husband Carl Frank Smith; and her siblings, John Mulkey and Nell Tillman.

She is survived by: her children, Darlene Johnson (Wayne) and Shane Doles (Mandy); her granddaughters, Dixie Johnson (Melissa), Allison Somers (Troy) and Ashley Pye; her great grandchild Bentley Somers; and her sister Minnie Lou Moran (Mac).

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Gray United Methodist Church, 117 South Jefferson Street, Gray, Georgia 31032 or to the Jones County Animal Shelter, 1015 Monticello Highway, Gray, Georgia 31032.
