It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Philip Bivins (Gray, Georgia), born in Macon, Georgia, who passed away on April 28, 2020, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Gladys Bivins Wise and John Carlton Bivins; his brothers, Carlton Bivins and Billy Bivins; his parents-in-law, Sanford Ethridge and Nellene Davis Ethridge; and his brother-in-law Sanford Ethridge, Jr..
He is survived by: his wife Marianne Ethridge Bivins; his children, Deanne Bivins Edmisten (Rob) and Philip Bivins (Tarin); and his siblings, Sylvia Pierce of Macon and Larry Bivins (Helen) of Augusta, Georgia. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins and friends.
Due to the current COVID-19 restrictions, a private service will be held at Elam Memorial Gardens in Gray with the Reverend Gary Thomas officiating.
