She was predeceased by: her parents, Merrill Leslie Lockard and Clara Frances Wimberly Lockard; her husband Paul C. Simpson, III; and her father-in-law Paul C. Simpson, Jr.. She is survived by: her daughter Gina; her son-in-law Jeff Jernigan; and her grandchildren, Kaleb, Keaton and Ansley.
