With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Hugh Ayers (Greensboro, Georgia), born in Eatonton, Georgia, who passed away on July 8, 2020 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Moses Clyde Ayers and Doris Batchelor Ayers; and his wife Flora Annette Wallace. He is survived by: his children, Robin Whittaker (James), Rena Whittaker (Torrey) and Keith Ayers (Elizabeth) of Eatonton, GA; his brother Samuel Ayers (Linda); and his grandchildren, Jason Whittaker (Chelsea), Jeremy Ayers (Melissa), Kristina Whittaker Mashburn (Ryan), Sara Ayers McAllister (Chris), Brent Whittaker (Jamie), Holly Ayers Thrift (Vince), Daniel Mitchell (Jennifer) and Sara Michell Riley (Adam). He is also survived by nineteen great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and close family friends.
