We are sad to announce that on November 10, 2023, at the age of 82, Jim L. Yancey of Greenville, Georgia, born in Hartford, Connecticut passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Roscoe B. Yancey and Hilda Weldon Yancey; his son Jimmy Yancey, Jr.; his granddaughter Courtney Yancey; and his sister Ann Atwater.

He is survived by : his wife Dawn Yancey; his daughters, Cynthia Mayfield (Bubba), Kim Griffin (Chris) and Melissa Garber (Andy); his grandchildren, Jessica Mayfield, Matt Mayfield (Lesley), Blake Yancey (Haley), Ben Griffin and Erin Griffin; and his great grandchildren, Claire Mayfield, Karter, Evey Yancey, Marlee and Maycee Cofield.
