He is survived by: his wife Carol Brooks; his daughter Cathy Kirkland; his son-in-law Steve Kirkland; his son Brian Brooks; his grandchildren, Jason Bush, Kimberly Sowell, Justin Brooks, Kristin Graham and Lauren Brooks; his great grandchildren, Courtney Couch, Aubrey Leach and Carson Graham; his siblings, Doris Ponder and Melvin Brooks; and his sister-in-law Libby Brooks. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
