She was predeceased by: her husband James Benjamin Whitmire Sr.. She is survived by: her children, Lynn Whitmire Rogers (Bill), James Benjamin Whitmire Jr. (Jimmy) and Griffin; and her grandchildren, Wilson William Rogers (Sarah), Katherine Rogers Snell (John), Mary Clare Whitmire and Nathan Barron Whitmire (Kyle).

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Griffin First Baptist Church of to the Griffin Humane Society in memory of Mrs. Whitmire.
