He is survived by: his sons, Samuel Chambers Murray and William Alexander Murray; his parents, Samuel Alexander of Griffin and Allen Simpson Murray of Griffin; his sister Virginia Murray Greer of Macon; his brother-in-law William Harold Greer III of Macon; his child Elizabeth Nell Chambers of Athens; and his nieces and nephews, Margaret Lesley Greer of Macon, William Harold Greer IV of Macon and Eli Murray Greer of Macon. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
