He is survived by: his children, Angela Goodwin (Phillip) of Fayetteville and Ryan T. Lawrence (Stephanie) of Elizabeth City; and his grandchildren, Kimberly Warnock, Alex Goodwin, Cayla Felts, Ashton Felts, Jenny Goodwin, Andrew Goodwin and Tyler Lawrence. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
