He was predeceased by : his mother Pauline Polk; his stepfather Lawrence Polk; his brothers, Peter Calamas and Frank Messer (Nikki); and his nephew Rhett Reese.
He is survived by : his children, Paula Story (Jutson), Paul (Nathan), Brandon Robinson (Morgan), Matthew Messer and Shannon Crabbtucker; his siblings, David Merkerison (Tina), Rosa Radar (Todd), Cindy Reese and Charlene; his stepson John David Alexander (Alison); and his uncle Paul Ford. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the American Diabetes Association, The American Red Cross, or The Wounded Warrior Project.
