She was predeceased by : her parents, Render Gates Sr. and Pearl Gates; her siblings, Render Gates Jr., Ida Grier and Vera Gates; and her nieces, Decarlos Grier and Cheryl Grier.
She is survived by : her husband Timothy Hill; her children, Kimberly Hill, Timothy Gates and Micheal Gates; her grandchildren, India Coverson, Anthony Coverson, Malasyia Gates and Antavious Ransom; her siblings, Inez Brown (Charles), Alice Hardaway, Japhus Gates, Bruce Gates (Jennifer), Nathaniel Gates and Charlie Gates; her mother-in-law Mary Edwards; and her siblings-in-law, Tracy Hill, Patrick Hill and James Edward. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
