He was predeceased by : his parents, J. B. Hensley and Zella Hensley; his grandparents, Jack, Annie Huffman, Alfred and Floy Hensley; and his sister Wanda Walraven.

He is survived by : his wife Kathryn Hensley; his sons, Scottie Hensley and Jered; his daughter-in-law Nicole Hensley; his grandchildren, Brandon Hensley, Julie, Christian Pate and Madison Hensley; his great grandchild Gracie Mae Pate; and his sister Janice Nichols. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
