He was predeceased by: his parents, Hugh Smith and Annie Moore Smith; and his brother Ralph Edward Smith. He is survived by: his wife Linda; his sons, Kermit E. Smith, Jr. and Stephen F. Smith; his grandchildren, Michael and Carolyn Smith; Trannie Adams Smith. He is also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Kermit's memory to Fayetteville First United Methodist Church, 175 E. Lanier Avenue, Fayetteville, GA 30214.
