He is survived by: his wife Deloris Dowdy Whitaker; his children, Lori Whitaker Judy (C. J.) of Griffin and Jeffrey Whitaker (AnnaRuth); his grandchildren, Harmony Huggins, Colton Judy, Shiann Judy and Grayson Whitaker; his siblings, Steve Whitaker of Tyrone, Zibe Dowdy (Karen), Veronica "Roni" Eubanks (Chester) of Molena and Alice Peterson of Griffin; and his close friend Bill Bentley of Covington. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
