We are sad to announce that on July 4, 2019, at the age of 93, Melba Ray (Hapeville, Georgia), born in Axson, Georgia passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Melba Ray to pay them a last tribute.

She was loved and cherished by many people including : her husband James P. Ray; her son Ed Ray; her grandson Brandon Ray; her parents, Abe T. Minchew and Eliza T. Minchew; her children, Don Ray (Susan) of Milledgeville and Anne Newman (Brad) of Hapeville; her grandchildren, Sunnie Whittenton (Larry), Allie Ray, Brandis Hicks (Aaron), Ashley Ward (Cecil) and Hayley Newman; and her great grandchildren, Beth Whittenton, Brittney Whittenton, Mackenzie Morgan, Carlie Morgan, Sean Whittenton, Oakley Hicks, C. R. Ward and Eliza Newman. She was also cherished by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Hapeville First Baptist Church, 612 College Street, Hapeville, GA 30354.
