She was predeceased by: her husband John Wesley Dawson, Sr.; her son John Wesley Dawson, Jr.; her parents, Carlton Peavy and Irene Peavy; and her siblings, Joe Lee Peavy, Sanders Peavy, Royce Peavy, Jim Peavy, Ozie Peavy, Estelle Stanford, Ruby Strauss and Bonnie Nobles.
She is survived by: her daughters, Angelia Rust and Donnette Blake; and her siblings, Rodney Dawson, Gary Dawson and Kathy Rattray. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grands, and nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held on Sunday, August 10th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Orange Hill Cemetery (75 Industrial Blvd, Hawkinsville, GA 31036).
