He was predeceased by: his brothers, Preston Mason, Stephen Wakefield and Richard Wakefield. He is survived by: his wife Deborah Pittman Wakefield; his children, Victoria LaRose Wakefield (Tyres Hopgood), Rachel Arlene Gonzalez (Anthony), Robert Boyd Wakefield and Jessica Lynn Wakefield; his grandchildren, Maliiko Ja'Mier Hopgood and Elijah Boyd Hopgood; his siblings, David Lawrence Mason (Betty) and Rachel Anne Fraser (Robert Fraser); and his sister-in-law Linda Mason. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
