It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ethel Virginia Winters (Hiawassee, Georgia), who passed away on June 24, 2023, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Edith Held and Herman Held; and her husband Eddie. She is survived by : her daughters, Sharon Winters and Kelly Heath; her sons-in-law, Kendall Reid and Samuel Heath; and her pets, Shari, Lauri, Maury and Bridget.

In lieu of flowers, Ethel requested that donations be made to the Lake Chatuge Rotary Club for student scholarships (P.O. Box 454, Hiawassee) and to the Humane Society's Mountain Shelter (129 Bowling Gap Circle, Blairsville).
