He was predeceased by : his parents, John Winford Goodwin Sr. and Alice Zelma Silvers; his son John Goodwin III; and his brother Robert Lee Goodwin. He is survived by : his daughters, Jodi Goodwin, Johnna Penrod (Kenny), Tiffany Hooper (Stacy) and Brooke Payne; his brothers, James Goodwin, Jimmy Goodwin, Jerry Goodwin and Jerold Goodwin; his grandchildren, Ethan Underwood, Kristen Goodwin, Zyndel Payne, Christopher Payne, Brett Hooper and Oliver Penrod; and his great grandchildren, Aubrey Pavis, Jameson Underwood and John Joseph Pavis. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
