It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Julie Melissa Brinson-Owens of Hiawassee, Georgia, who passed away on April 24, 2024, at the age of 44, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her father Wade Douglas Simmons. She is survived by : her mother Rebecca Jordan; her husband Coot Owens; her daughters, Madison Brinson and Macy Brinson; her stepdaughter Kelly Berry; her son Andrew Brinson; her stepson Kris Phillips; her siblings, Danny Simmons and Christie Simmons; and her grandchildren, Brille Berry and Donovan Berry. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Visitation was held on Saturday, April 27th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Banister-Cooper Funeral Home (678 N Main St, Hiawassee, GA 30546).
