He was predeceased by: his parents, William "Jack" Wilson, Sr. and Jessie Lee Wilson; his son Eric Wilson; his siblings, Nelson Sherman, Quilla Lendon, Willie Mae "Boot" Brown and Henry James Wilson; and his parents-in-law, Deacon Emeritus Quincy McKie and Nellie Ryans-McKie.
He is survived by: his wife Velma Tyler-Wilson; his children, Jermaine Tyler, Ray Jackson (Andrea), Lakisha Wilson-Jackson (Victor), Yolonda Clark (Edward), JeQuane Tyler and Mario; his sisters, Doris Jackson (William), Debra Wynn (Bruce) and Mary Lee; his brother-in-law Gregory McKie; his grandchildren, Jamiya Wilson, Nubia Young, Jaleeia Given, Kenya Young, Erika Young, Damion Cornett, Tysley Shine, Jonae Tyler, Jalen Tyler and Jadyn Jackson; and his great grandchildren, Naomi Cooper, Leilani Cooper and Tahir Hendricks.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 15th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Community Chapel Funeral Home of Jesup (2524 US-341, Jesup, GA 31546). Viewing was held on Tuesday, September 16th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Bennett Union Missionary Baptist Church (401 W Pine St, Jesup, GA 31545). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 16th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, September 16th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery (8819 US-301, Glennville, GA 30427). A reception was held on Tuesday, September 16th 2025 at 4:30 PM at the Bennett Union Missionary Baptist Church (401 W Pine St, Jesup, GA 31545).
