He is survived by: his wife LaDonna Smitherman Strickland; his children, Susan Lindsey (Bill) of Douglasville, Ken Strickland of Hiram and Jennifer Cackett (Doug) of Peachtree City; his grandchildren, Zach Lindsey (Kaley) of Dallas, GA, Kent Strickland of Hiram, Halie Bridges (Josh) of Leonardtown, MD, Khristina Strickland of Hiram, Jacob Cackett of Peachtree City and Mary Jolea Cackett of Peachtree City; his great grandchildren, Eliott Cordova, Scarlett Bridges, Sayler Lindsey, Lorelai Bridges, Grant Lindsey, Gabriel Bridges, Solomon Bridges and Hadley Lindsey; and his siblings, Marie Clay (Franklin) of Hiram, Russell Strickland (Linda) of Hiram, Patsy Brown (Jerry) of Hiram, Bettye Smitherman of Chatsworth, GA, Arvile Smitherman of Marietta, GA, Erleene Templeton (R. L.) of Ringgold, GA, Ray Land of Ringgold, GA and Jerry Smitherman of Ringgold, GA. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
