She was predeceased by: her parents, John Brooks and Bethie Brooks; her husband Herbert Lee Duke; her son Stephen Duke; and her siblings, Owen Brooks, Viola Fincher, Lila Pudlo and Tommie Thrower.

She is survived by: her daughters, Cheryl Reaid (Bobby) and Melissa Duke. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.
