She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Jefferson Nettles and Minnie Inez Boatwright Nettles; her husband Homer Leroy Deese; her son Homer F. "Buddy" Deese; and her brothers, Thomas Henry Nettles, William Edgar Nettles, James Marvin Nettles, Albert Morris Nettles and Earnest Randle Nettles.
She is survived by: her son Raymond Deese; her sister Irene; her brother-in-law Pete Lashley; her grandchildren, Anthony M. Corbitt, Homer Lee Deese, Earnest Morris Deese and Sharon Hope Cook; and her great grandchildren, Shonna Wiggins, Jacob Daniel Wiggins, Jayden Corbitt and Renesmee Corbitt.
