He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward, Sr. Scheffler and Elizabeth Weber Scheffler; his wife Barbara Geier Scheffler; his daughters, Elizabeth and Louise; and his siblings, Harry, Artie, Teddy and Helen.

He is survived by: his children, Ann Pietras (Stan), Robert A. Scheffler (Susan) and Thomas Scheffler. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren & 6 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, 2361 Hylan Blvd., Staten Island, NY 10306.
