He is survived by: his wife Nancy Smith Hinreiner of Hoschton, GA; his children, Angelika Baumgart (Guenter Kurschatke) and Karin Venhofen (Ronny Venhofen); his stepchildren, Stephen Hart of Gainesville, GA, Robert Bruce and Lois Gaines; and his granddaughter Simone Wolff (Peter Wolff). He is also survived by ten step-grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren.
