He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Fred Hermel and Emma Hermel; his son Hayden Hermel of Tucumcari; his sibling's children, Alona Weatherhead (John) of The Villages, Deanna, Acord of Cedar Rapids, Joyce Sand (Roger) of Minot, Debbie Green (Hugh) of Huntsville, Ala, Wendy Hubbard (John) of Indiana, Terry Fitzgerald (Mike) of Huntsville, Ala, Sandra Larson (Gary) of Brooklyn Park, Gwen Wright (Steve) of Minnesota and Dwayne Schultz of Clayton, Georgia; his sister-in-law Rhoda Neighbors of Talking Rock; his close friends, Jim and Shirly Evans of Talking Rock; and his wife Sue Helen Poole Hermel.
