He is survived by: his children, Tammy (Jason Turner), Cathy (Lannie Holcomb), Sandra Bennefield of Canton, Patricia (Jerome Dale), Keith (Felicia Merrell), David Merrell (Julia Jordan), Jeff (Judith Carver), Ricky Merrell of Jasper and Allen (Sonya Merrell); and his sister Thelma McElhannon of Royston. He is also survived by Numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
The family will accept flowers or memorial donations may be made to Roper Funeral Home and Crematory.
