He was predeceased by: his parents, George "Buck" and Eunice Thompson; and his sister Mona Thompson. He is survived by: his wife Vickie Bacon Thompson; his daughters, Jereme (Richard Breedlove), Ansley, Hadley, Brooks of Watkinsville, Allison (Brian Neal) and Ryley (Coleton); his sisters, Betty Moxley (James) of Jesup and Lisa Lanham (Dale) of Jesup; his sisters-in-law, Molly Whetzel (Greg) of Williamsburg and Livia McMahon (Michael) of Savannah; and also Dana Strickland Dunsmore.
George "Truett" Thompson, Jasper, Georgia, age 69, passed from this life Wednesday, October 20, 2021, after a 2- year battle with strokes and Parkinson's Disease.
