He was predeceased by: his wife Mattie Ray; and his siblings, Azzalee Silvers and Herbert Ray. He is survived by: his children, Bradley Ray of Hinton, Shawn (Contessa Ray) and Brenda; his son-in-law Ron Evans of Hinton; his stepson Jack Harris of Waleska; his sister Willa Mae Mullinax; and his grandchildren, Alisha Blackwell, Whitney Tilley, Veronica Martin, Jordan Rawson, Rori Ray, Anthony Harris and Betrice Harris. He is also survived by ten great-grandchildren.
