He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Norma Borders (Williams); his children, Scarlet Knight and Doctor Jack Borders, Jr. (Amy); his grandchildren, Tara Dorsey (David), Ashley Borders, Kenan Knight (Beth), Jack Borders, III (Kelly), Holly Connell, Samantha Borders Shoemaker (Tim) and Matthew Borders; his great grandchildren, Issaac Phillips, Luke Dorsey, Kate Dorsey, Ethan Knight, Eli Knight, Grace Borders, Judah Connell and Abner Knight; his sisters, Alice Sinyard and Lucy Brakefield; and his parents, William Emmett and Katie Borders. He was also cherished by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
